So, yes, the big wonderful news is that our house is under contract. We are moving every last item from it this weekend and the closing will be final on Monday. This was a total "God thing". Absolute amazing answer to prayer! I hate to admit it, but the stress of the back and forth and wondering what we would do was really getting to me. There is a huge sense of relief and it all worked out so perfect, we know that God had his hand on it.
We moved in to our rent house on July 4, which is ironic since we moved into our previous home on July 4. Three full years there. And now here we are with a new start, new job. So far things here are great. We have visited a few churches and think we have found one that fits us. We are LOVING the shopping and restaurants. We are REALLY LOVING Gary's work schedule. We got to go to Six Flags last Tuesday (which was great because there were no lines--never seen that before!). And we may even take a little vacation in August now that all of this stress is behind us because Gary has a whole week off.
Other than that, we are just doing the normal "new to town" things. Learning where things are, setting up new service on stuff, transferring bills and mail, and trying to keep track of it all.
I am so appreciative to all of your prayers, and we are so thankful to our Heavenly Father who always has been so faithful to take care of our family!

so excited it has all worked out. we too are moving back to lubbock. we have a place in idalou to live, but like you said, would be a lot less stressful if we could sell ours. we are totally trusting and have faith - but that does come with human stress, too!
YAY! So glad things are working out...now you can just pray for our house! We are SOOO ready to get rid of it. :) I am so glad you are loving Abilene. It is great city! :) I am glad you have found a church too! I will email you so we can catch up! :)
