Tonight was Zach's first time to have a T-Ball scrimmage. He has had a handful of practices, some of which have been rained out by the unrelenting storms we have been having. It was a good chance for him to see what a real game will look like. His first game is on Monday night.
We were very proud of Zach because he is getting much better very quickly. In the league here, the coaches pitch three balls to the batter and then if none of them is hit, they get one chance to hit off the tee. Zach hit the ball on the second pitch, and he made it first base without a problem. When his team is in the outfield, Zach has been playing third base, and he has a done a pretty good job at catching and stopping the ball. The main thing, though, is that he has really been enjoying it. We have had family baseball practice in the backyard several times a week, and that has been fun for all of us.

Tommorrow Zach's preschool is having an end-of-year party at the bowling alley, so I will post a few pics of that next week. As soon as the party is over, Zach and I are heading out of town to have fun, shop and catch up with friends and family. Gary is on call all weekend, so I thought we spend the weekend away. It promises to be a really fun time!

He looks so big in that baseball uniform! I can hardly believe he is old enough to be playing!!! Way to go Zach on that hit, third base is a great position too! Have fun on your weekend away!
