At 10:30 the kids rode in to the park on the school bus and began their egg hunt, in separate sections by class. When the kids got there, they were ready to hunt the eggs.
Zach took the hunt pretty seriously, and he was the first one in his class to finish. (They were only to hunt 12 eggs, to make it fair.)

Due to state school rules, the eggs could not contain any candy or food, so they were filled with toys, stickers, coins, etc.

After the hunt was over, the kids looked through their eggs and then had a picnic lunch. Once everyone was done, they got to play on the playground. The Easter Bunny showed up later for pictures and to play with the kids.

first - lovin' the pic of the squirrel; that is funny.
second, in regards to your daffodil post: we went this weekend to my grandmother's house who passed away in sept. we were cleaning everything out and no one has lived there for 4 years. it was a dirty yet emotional job. on the outside the garden was overgrown with dead bushes and had 4 years of no work done to it. except in the front yard standing all by itself right next to a sign that said their names and had stuff about great grandchildren was this single daffodil. i cried. i would have never thought anything about it, but i remembered your post. THANKS! it was a sweet tender moment for me!
